Orderly Conduct

What a night! What a lack of sleep! What an early rise! What a load of shit!

My first college hangover - who saw that one coming? Now rise your hands if you saw that coming. Now tell me your name and your reasons for seeing that coming. Next student! Why do you think he has a hang-over?

Or that's the basic gist of today's class. The head of ICT (who shall remain nameless - I can imagine he google's himself every number of weeks to get the latest lowdown on student opinions of him in Tipp Inst) joined the ranks of lecturers and staff to tell us that we:
Joy! I'm filled with hope for the future. The Iraqi Army didn't even employ these methods of inspiration during their 10 year war with Iran (the real 'first Gulf War') - or the two times they went toe-to-toe with the rest of the world. Ti as a college is young, it's staff are not supposed to be withered already! They too are young - where did all that exuberance go? Doesn't student morale even come into it?

Anyway - I digress - the rant above was about another spiel from another person about another thing that has already been laboriously explained to the most minute of details. Are they being thorough? Or did they not compare lesson plans? Doesn't matter I guess! It was a great night -

Think loads of faces - old and new - out for a giggle in Mulcathys in Clonmel - campus and campus united by free beer tickets (cleverly disguised as Danno's concessions tickets for the 5th Aug) - followed by a meeting of minds at a house party - followed by a 4 o'clock finish.

Alcohol + Lack of sleep = hangover

So it is entirely possible that the gripe above is rooted in my condition - but hangover or not I'd like to have been inspired - driven - not given a forecast of failure. But it's early days (daze?) - lets play the waiting game!

Anyway - pix in the usual spot!
